Price for 2016 RX350?
Has anyone recently bought a 2016 RX350. If so, what did you pay? I live in Northern VA and right now, these cars are going for $40-45k. Any good negotiation tactics? I will be trading in my 2003 GX 470

Negotiating Tactics for 2016 RX350
Hi all,
I am new to this community and am trading in my older GX470 for a 2016 RX350. The range at local Lexus dealerships are between $40-$43k. If you've bought this model recently, please let me know how much and if you have any good negotiating tactics.
Thank you so much for your help!!!

1- The dealership needs to get rid of the vehicle in a hurry, and you happen to be there. This tends to happen at the end of the month or end of the quarter because the fleet manager may need to sell an extra car or two to achieve his/her quota for the month or quarter. <- This is some timing + pure luck sometimes.
2- You don't really need/want the car. <- When you don't really need or desire the car, you are more willing to walk away, and that will show more clearly than you think. Sale folks will pick up on that, and if they need to move the car, they will be more willing to negotiate (back to #1 above).
Keep in mind your happiness may not rest entirely on getting the car at the lowest possible price. May be getting the right color and options is more important to you. Again, this is back to how much you desire to have a particular car. Used cars could be very unique (unlike new cars when you can have similar cars available at the same time), and if you really want to buy a particular car, you may need to relax on the purchase price. On top of all this, having a good (mechanically) car is even more important than getting a lower price and/or other things such as options. When you buy used, the risk is higher (if not certified).
As other have mentioned, options can be as much as $10K to $20K on an RX350, what options come with the car will determine its market price. Hope the above help, and good luck.

Got ours in August 2017 in concord,ca Lexus dealership. Was CPO with 16k miles. Grey exterior with navi, AWD, bigger dash, 20 inch rims, sunroof at 41k out the door. Already used the CPO to replace our brake pads and resurface rotors so I highly recommend CPO if used. Just negotiate it down, their asking price was 45.5k.
