I hope someone is able to point me in the right direction on this issue. Here's the situation...
My friend has a 2002 ls430 that was running just fine and they asked me to change the timing belt.
My skill level is basically that of a DIYer that can figure out most auto repair issues watching YT videos.
I found a few video that I used to do the job and after setting the the CR to TDC and the LCAM and RCAM
marks appropriately all was well.
That said, after adding putting everything back together I constantly get a CEL w/ P0300 - P0309
misfires on all 8 cylinders after about 30 seconds then it cuts off. It will usually restart after the
codes are cleared, but the same issue reappears.
So far I have run a smoke test for leaks (none were detected) and checked the plugs and coils.
Not sure what else could be causing the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds to me like a cam position sensor is not reading correctly so it is firing the spark plugs at the wrong time, hence the misfire and the misfire codes (p0300 to P0309).
I did try replacing the position sensor that's in the Left Cam and the same issue occurred. The only other info I can provide is that the car ran fine before the belt change. This install was for a friend of mine who thought it was time for the belt change, so that's why I did it.
I'm not sure if this caused any problems, but after installing the belt the first time instead of turning the Crank 2 times to line up the timing marks I turned it approx 10 times. However, I never tried to start the car until all of the marks were at TDC and both the right and left cam
marks were at the vertical mark setting from the attached photos I added previously. We also took a look at two of the plugs and they appeared to be fine. Could a clogged fuel pump filter cause this issue?
Also, when I tried a new MAF the car wouldn't crank at all until I added the old one back.

Did you turn the crank 50 degrees before removing the old belt?
It's a necessary step to relieve spring pressure. Skipping this step can cause the cam to jump/rotate when you remove the belt, pushing a valve into a piston.
Also, I'm assuming you took the photos in your first post after you discovered the issue..? It looks like you "might" be half a tooth off on the driver's side cam. This is the cam that springs fwd if you don't position the marks properly.
