Communication Module Activation Failed - NEW TERMS AND CONDITION

Default Communication Module Activation Failed - NEW TERMS AND CONDITION

IOS got updated, and Lexus app up got updated. Lexus app asked to redo whole setup, while doing it, I declined something terms. Then series of emails came, and whole remote app connectivity is disabled on the vehicle RX350h. SOS indicator goes red, and green few times, and goes to red. Satellite icon in screen has stikethrough.
Then accepted all terms, and condition. issue was not resolved. Reached out to dealer, and dealer gave a number, and they lexus support will resolve it in 10mins.
I called support (8Oct2024), they knew exactly what happened, we tried few things uninstalling app and reinstalling, and pressing SOS button. no resolution. Took to another dealer similar actions. Called again 19oct, no resolution.

Any idea or suggestions

(We had the app on 2 phones. surprising that declining in app did not warn or to confirm again. first time app as setup by dealer in my phone. no idea what all he accepted 6 months ago )

Lexus corporate has to re enable all your remote items (safety, connect, navigation etc.). By declining you asked them to disable everything.

Oh. Ok. Thanks.

I have accepted terms twice before for same vehicle. Simple action on the phone app with no option to revert is little frustrating. I wish they do not keep changing terms and condition on updates of app.
I'll have to wait then

It got enabled yesterday, and I see notification on app to finish setup.
I made rx connect to home wifi on Monday night in my garage. Not sure, if that helped.

Apparently Lexus did not enable all the feature. When they called to confirm, I was asked press SOS. It was routed to emergency instead of safety connect. Support person on me phone immediately knew setup was not complete. After few more days, got an email. Then I started seeing notification on my phone.

It is great that they fixed everything remotely...it took 3 weeks overall. Everyone I spoke to are all very nice

They say they can change terms and conditions anytime they want with no notification that there even was a change, much less what the change was.

They are all geared up for you, the owner, to just accept whatever they propose. Anything less, and it’s like reinventing the wheel. If you go to the Privacy section on their www.Lexus.com, and actually read the material, you may not be so happy that you “trusted” them. Basically, they take the position that they can collect any data that they can get off the car. They can even collect pictures, you an supposedly opt in/opt out, though I’m not sure what the default.

The more people go out of their way tell you that your privacy is important to them, the more careful you need to be!

It is so simple just disconnect the wire on the right dashboard speaker and loop the connection from the center speaker then it will be ok
