The maintenance log option under the Info button appears to be a nice idea but does it get automatically updated when the dealer services the vehicle?

I see an option to update it through the touch screen but I'm not going to keep it updated myself. In a perfect world I see the dealership connected to the vehicle's computer checking off all of the work he/she is performing. When completed, it updates the Maintenance Logs for the owner to see.

 

I have never had the dealer update the logs for the 2 free maintenances, of course never asked. I did try to add in one after the fact, for the fun of it while sitting in a traffic jam, and it would not let me input a date in the past or even for the current day, only for a day in the future.

 

Hmm. Maybe it can only be input by the dealer. Surprising the dealer doesn't just do it without asking.

Does not work like that but that would be nice, small section in the nav manual on it
