Oil Type question
The manual calls for "REGULAR" OIL. But I used (at 15k miles mark with all prior two oil changes at 5k and 10k done at Lexus dealer at no charge and they used REGULAR oil) 5W-30 SYNTHETIC, Mobile One Extended Performance on my self done oil change at 15k miles.
You can buy the above synthetic Mobile oil at Walmart for like $27 a big 5 quart jug. You will need two big jugs. Total will need like 9.8 quarts depending if you are able to completely drain it. Or just buy a quality brand REGULAR oil much cheaper. But I always used synthetic. Some may find this debatable, but it is what it is.
It is pretty easy once you get the car up. Please observe safety and use jack stands (In addition I placed concrete blocks under the car just in case the jack stands fail. I also put a tire choke thing behind the real tires in case the car rolled.). Make sure you are on on flat level surface as inside your garage. Most residential driveways leading up to inside the garage are at a slight incline for water drainage. So be careful if you do it yourself n the driveway.
Toyota OEM Filter from Amazon for about half the price.
You will need a special oil wrench. My cheap AMAZON broke after 3 years of use on my other Lexus vehicles. I went to AutoZone and bought one on emergency basis. There were two kinds at AutoZone. I got the more expensive one at around $19, if I remember correctly. It's sure not the best quality, but I had no choice at the time as my old one from Amazon broke.

For a filter wrench, Pick one:

For a filter see this thread:

I use the one ending in YZZA4.
