Yes the solution to your problem is to look on the back of the switch housing and jumper the two wires coming from the trunk switch, this will bypass all security features and the push button lock, thus popping open your trunk. Did this to mine after it's theft recovery

+1
The get some spares made up. This has happened in the LS forum and IDK why some owners only have one key. When this happens one is SOL and even worse for the models with a transponder chipped ignition if they lose it.

I'm having the same problem, my master key just got stolen recently and I'm currently using my spare to get around but the trunk switch is locked and I have stuff in there that I really need to get out. I really would like to know how to bypass the security. As for my master key missing I'm hoping they don't make a round 2 and attempt to take my car. :/

Will this work with starting the car as well?? I have a issue with my key, where the car won't let me start it with the key. I hate it when I can't go to work in it due to the car acting up. I only have the spare key for it. Never owned any other keys for it.

Go to your local lexus dealership with your title in hand (they need proof of registration and vin). Purchase a master key for $50 and keep it handy at home. I went through the same BS months ago. Something every GS owner goes through once and never again. Just be glad you don't have transponder or else youd be in a real pinch.
