SUPER DEAL!! 19" Volk GT-C's and APEXi coilovers for $2000!!
UPDATE:
Bargain shoppers know a deal when they see one! Those who took the initiative to call me right away are in line for a super deal.
As of 11:15 tonite (only 3 hours later!), I already have 2 potential buyers. If both fall through, then I'll repost in this thread indicating that the wheels/coilovers are still available.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay folks, I've decided to sell my GS and buy another car. My loss is going to be someone's killer deal.
FOR SALE: Staggered Set of 19" Volk Racing GT-C's - in Gun Metal color
Front: 19 x 8.5, Face 1, +39 Offset (Face 1 is a flat faced wheel) They will clear big brakes.
Rear: 19 x 9.5, Face 2, +37 Offset (Face 2 is a concave faced wheel)
Tires are the "fat setup": Toyo Proxes T1-S tires in 245/40ZR19 on the front and 275/35ZR19 in back (50% tread/30% tread)
APEXi World Sport coilovers - spring rates: 8.5/6 Kg/mm^2
Wheels are in excellent condition, except one of the fronts has a very slight curb rash. It is not bad at all and can be refinished for approximately $100. The rash is only visible upon close inspection, and is VERY minor (you can see for yourself).
The wheels are a perfect fitment for GS3/400's, Supra's and possibly SC3/400's. INCLUDED are the optional $ 100.00 Carbon Fiber center caps, Rays Lug nuts & wheel locks
WHEELS/TIRES/COILOVERS FOR $2000 PICKED UP (LOS ANGELES)!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I looked long and hard for a setup for my GS that would look nice, sharpen the handling, yet be strong enough to withstand ordinary driving without worrying about bending or damaging the wheels.
I decided to buy Volk wheels since they are extremely durable, yet reasonably priced in comparison to other forged wheel manufacturers. I put on Toyo Proxes T1-S tires in 245/40ZR19 on the front and 275/35ZR19 on the rear (the fat setup) to insure greater rim protection and a smoother ride. Tires have approximately 50% and 30% life remaining.
Next, I purchased APEXi WS coilovers (Thanks Steve at Carson Toyota!) to lower the car. These coilovers are meant for everyday use; the ride is similar to the Tein CS (comfort series) coilovers. They eliminate most body roll, yet are compliant enough to absorb normal road irregularities. Here's a chart for coilover spring rates: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=43181
I also had the car corner balanced and aligned after installing both: the car was placed on scales under each wheel and then balanced. Though this is beyond what most people will do when installing coilovers, the extra effort has paid off in a balanced ride and even tire wear.
Now, I've decided to sell the car. I would like to sell both the wheels and coilovers together, for convenience sake. But, convenience has a price; I have set the price at the market value for the wheels ALONE. Anyone who wants the wheels (and not the coilovers) can sell the coilovers as profit. These cost me $760 at a GROUP BUY price! (retail: 800-900).
If you'd like the wheels and coilovers and are serious, you can simply PM me.
If you're waiting for a deal, this is it! I will only ship if I have to - preference for local pickup!
