My experience has been that Lexi get about the MPGs quoted, adjusted for driver style, conditions and speed.

Give me a couple weeks of driving and I'll let you know what it says. Since I've only had it a few days, I think that letting it break in and not idling so much while I play around with tech will make a difference. So far, REALLY loving it.

17.9 gallon fuel tank x 34 mpg = 608 miles. All depends on your gas mileage which is very much dependent on how you drive, and how long you are willing to go before you put gas in the vehicle. Unlike a true EV, range is not an issue. Just put gas in it and keep going.

FYI, the fuel tank capacity for the RX 350h is only 17.2 gallons.

I am getting between 32-35 mpg with 80% highway driving. I have tried both regular gas and premium gas from Costco but I did not see any impact on the mileage.
Also, I always operate my car in the sports mode.

I just posted my one month ownership review in a new thread. Hope that will clarify certain things for you. But feel free to ask any specific questions if you have. Happy to share my experience.

I think the dash indicator number is for 12-13 gallon worth range. Dash will never show full 17.2 gallon worth range as they know people always push it to zero. Historically I have seen 2 gallon reserve on non hybrid toyota. For hybrid, this could have been kept higher. As per my understanding hybrid technology disengages once the dash range number hits zero meaning 4 gallon-ish reserve. I will push it beyond zero and confirm in few days.

My dash shows 450 miles on full tank and I get about 32-35 mpg when i reverse calculate after filling the tank.

Update (03-07-2023): My dash now shows 510 miles on full tank but I typically get 470 miles (13.5 gallon refill at zero). I wonder if the car is tuning itself as I drive more miles to decide when to show zero marker. When I purchased the car, it showed 430 on full tank.
Hybrid did not disengage at zero fuel marker for me. I was also told by a lexus representative that hybrid technology should disengage with 2.5 gallon fuel left in the tank. So, this can be a good indication on how much fuel is left when you are pushing beyond zero. But I have not verified or confirmed this claim. Also, once hybrid technology disengages, car average shall drop to 20ish. So, I am happy to spend 5 mins for refuel around zero marker which gets me 450+ miles easily.

Default A weird problem with 23 RX350H

Hi All,

I just bought a 2023 lexus RX350H recently. Manual says it has a 17.2-gallon fuel tank. So far I have refilled the tank twice (with ~20 miles left each time before the refill) but each time it only took ~12 gallons. For each ~12 gallon I could drive 380-400 miles. I am just curious why the gas tank only holds 12 gallons for my car whereas it should hold 17?

Anyone has a clue?

Thanks.

This is interesting. Maybe the mpg is off; hence the 20 miles left. How many bars did you have on the actual fuel gauge?
