I knew I could push the MPG above the stated rating as I have with my previous 2021 Venza Hybrid Limited. First 100ish miles in mixed driving up to 75 on “normal” mode with AC running (eco mode) I hit 40mpg. No reving the engine or hitting the pedal to the metal. I’m choosing to break in my engine gently. As I learned with my first Hybrid, driving techniques that are now second nature such as coasting more on hills/before lights and laying off the pedal on the hwy for a few seconds every so often will yield eco/battery charge. I even have a habit of doing this in my husbands GX 460 Blackline but it yields me nothing. Ha,ha.
The next day the temps dropped and MPG went down to 38/39 with a headwind and running the heater/heated seats. This baby is a smooth operator gliding down the hey leaving the chaos outside. For non hybrid drivers there is a very slight difference in braking feel (regenerative breaking) and slight steering vibration on rougher roads. In the Venza it was way, way more pronounced. I don’t even notice the eCVT or engine transitions. It’s very smooth and with an 80 mile daily commute, the Hybrid was the way to go right now and gives me the larger space. I’m so glad I did not opt for the regular RX.
After a few days I’ll test mpg in Eco mode. Next up, I’ll be chrome deleting around windows and mirrors for a sportier Blackline/500h look with the Nebula.

For non hybrid drivers there is a very slight difference in braking feel (regenerative breaking) and slight steering vibration on rougher roads. In the Venza it was way, way more pronounced. I don’t even notice the CVT or engine transitions. It’s very smooth and with an 80 mile daily commute, the Hybrid was the way to go right now and gives me the larger space.
I’m so glad I did not opt for the regular RX to get a lighter interior or wait longer for my ideal premium plus with pano camera/pano roof configuration (maybe later) My particular Venza, although very nice had very terrible wind and road noise and needed to go. After a few days I’ll test mpg in Eco mode. Next up, I’ll be chrome deleting around windows and mirrors for a sportier 500h look.

I know for sure the 350H MPG will be awesome regardless! You can simply call your local Lexus dealership for parts number on the F sport window trim and F sport mirrors for the sportier 500h look or just wrap it over black!?
I can’t wait for ours. We’ve put an order in for a 350h last week. Coming from a 4Runner, I hope it’s a night and day difference.
I hope you like it! It will be very different and luxurious. I loved my 21 Trd Pro Runner in Lunar Rock prior to the Venza but hated the 17 mpg. I miss it’s adventurous spirit but it just wasn’t practical for my commute.
I picked up my 350h luxury yesterday. 36 mpg on the 200 mile trip back home driving 55 to 77 mph in 50 degree. Very pleased!
How do you get your current and average mpg to show up on your screen like that?
Use the navigation buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. Using the left/right buttons, move to the i icon at the top the screen as seen in from the posted picture above. Then press the up or down buttons to see all of the screens from the i view. Hope that helps.
I purchased my 2023 RX350h on Saturday. The drive home was a little over an hour. Once home, I looked at the total mpg indicator and it read 28.4. I was a bit surprised by the low number, so I topped off the gas tank and cleared the history in trip information. Did a few miles on the tank around town this morning and it is only reading 20.7. I’m new to the hybrid world. Upgraded from a 21 RX350 and I hope you don’t mind a few questions:
Is this gas mileage normal? I was expecting in the 30s.
Does the MPG reset when you fill the tank like my 21 did?
Can I see the MPG for the current gas tank? I can only see how I can view total MPG?

Mine was the same. I suspect the dealer idled the car while playing with the new tech. And I also did this at first. Reset the history. I'm getting nicely into the 30s now. I live in Pittsburgh and generally get 10-15% less than the city mileage indicated on the sticker. In this case, 37MPG. So my 32ish reading is much better than when I brought it home from the dealer.
