I have the OE parts in my basement (bought but indie said do not need yet), and would simply recommend original. example on rubber parts...imho there is a difference say with mevotech LCA bushings and Toyota Motor original. Even discount/online, the bushings alone for original, cost more than an entire arm, the bushing, and the front bushings on mevotech, so pretty obvious they cannot be the same. jmo because ymmv

To my knowledge, there is no aftermarket manufacturer who may offer anything close to OEM quality engine or transmission mounts.

Thank you for your prompt response - it confirms my notion & my experience to use motor mounts manufactured ONLY BY LEXUS.

(by the way, installed DEA mounts a few years ago. One compressed just enough, resulting in the engine making contact with an adjacent
compont, & causing vibration. Despite shims under the mount to eliminate the vibration,
the damping capability of the DEA mounts was questionable. So, I reinstalled the original mounts.
While DEA mounts cost less than Lexus mounts, in my opinion DEA's unsatisfactory performance,
the DEA mounts installation, their removal, & then LEXUS mounts reinstallation, was a costly unexpected expense.
Next time, l will go only with LEXUS mounts).

I hope this helps other Club members.

I tried them on my 400 and as soon as I started the car my engine was vibrating real bad. I turned the car off and took them out, went to my computer and ordered OEM mounts. Never looked back. So I would say a big no to those mounts.

Please order the OEM mount. I installed the aftermarket mount twice, first time thinking it was a bad unit, the second unit was fine for about a mile then it snapped.

So how many motor mounts does our LS have? Are they all the same part #? I ask because I'm contemplating replacing all of them.

She has 160k on the ticker, and believe it or not, I can feel a very slight wiggle in my seat, at idle, while in park. Plugs are less than 50k old.

After replacing my Y-pipe, clearing the codes, and now that she's whisper quiet again, I'm back the mood to try to make my LS as perfect as possible. I also think it's reasonable to change the motor mounts at my mileage. I do plan on keeping her for several more years, too.

I would OBVIOUSLY use Toy/Lex motor mounts...after all...they didn't record the champagne classes commercial with aftermarket mounts!

There are 2 under the motor and 1 under the transmission.
Start with the trans (aka rear) mount. It's the cheapest of the 3 and also the easiest to change. Quite often it will fix the issue by itself. If you replace it and still feel vibrations then go ahead with the 2 motor mounts...

For others who might have the same idea to replace the motor mounts.....

Front insulator aka motor mount part # is 12361-50170 and approximately $147
Rear/transmission insulator aka motor mount part # is 12371-50170 and approximately $91.
