Default Techstream setup

I want to set up a Techstream and I am a computer novice. I found a recently posted Youtube video that laid out installing Techstream on a Windows 64 bit computer and it seemed to be well done. I've got a Widows 10/64 bit computer that I would only use for Techstream. I was hoping that someone with some Techstream knowledge could take a look at the video and confirm that this is what I want to use for my SC430. The guy in the video has a Landcruiser.

The actual install is from 0 to 9 minutes in the video. Thank you for your assistance

Well, the video seems legit, I have a computer running Win10 or Win11 64bit OS and will give it a try.

If you are only going to use the computer for Techstream, why not just get the 32 bit version of Windows 10 and be done with it. That is what I did and it worked fine.

Sorry BGW I quoted the wrong post. I meant to quote the OP.

Cinc04, GREAT find, it works as advertised on my Win10 64bit machine. This sure simplified the process and my antivirus software DID NOT detect any bugs. I kept the XP 32bit version running in the virtual machine although I was tempted to tinker and try a newer Win OS…maybe another day.
my cable is firmware v1.4.1. He shows it when he runs XHorse
I selected North America and didn’t need to load the registration code

iolmaster, no problem :-)

32-bit Win 10 limits the hardware to only recognize 4Gbyes of physical memory. As a result other programs that I keep on my portable machine (like Photoshop) would be severely impacted in performance.

You didn't read my post. I said if you are only going to use the computer for Techstream. Not if you are using it for other purposes. Most of us do just use an old computer for Techstream.

the OP said he (or she) would only be using it for Techstream.
