Hi all - I searched and couldn't find anything specific regarding this issue.

My AC and radio backlights do not always work. The radio and AC still function as normal, but the backlights do not always light up - sometimes they do, sometimes they won't. Sometimes they will be off and then eventually come to life after driving.

I have checked the circular light level adjustment - that is all the way up - even clicked it to the highest setting, and went down to the almost off setting and neither made a difference.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I will try removing the radio and AC control unit. I haven't been in there for years, probably 5 years at least, but it sounds like a loose connector in the back could be a problem. Odd that it is for both the AC and radio backlights though.

Looking at the lighting schematics, I would suspect these areas of commonality for that lighting....
