Default Backlighting for ac and radio controls

04 ls430 my cars inerior back lighting for the controls work intermittently ,start the car headlights turn on but no light for the buttons like ac and radio ,the only remedy i found was to press and release the ebrake then the lights turn back on any ideas on how to fix this?

would like to know as well, once in a while all my backlight on those controls are out, then it will come back on later...

No idea but I would try testing your 2 front solar sensors and your rear solar sensors. If you have your headlamp switch to Auto, and the car thinks it's bright outside, your buttons won't be illuminated. Just a random guess.

do you know where are all the sensors?
