Every now and then something has to be replaced on my 2002 SC430 and trying to avoid ridiculous Lexus OEM parts from the dealer, I sometimes get told to go 'look at a junk shop"!?

Every now and then there are some parts on Ebay from wrecker SC's.
Has anyone gotten reccommended junk yard shops NATIONWIDE in any kind of Craigslist/Ebay type format, rather than the static descriptions, i.e "yeah we got tires".

Failing that, does anyone have any idea if SOME junk shops aren't run by Leroy Brown or similar, i.e have a LOT of Lexus stock,, either strippable cars or parts on hand? Anyone to recommend (I'm in Boston, but have looked nationwide for such things as mirrors, and seems like the shops that actually have things are the ones that don't want to bother spending time on the phone or digging the listed items out?
JUST MY 5c

BTW: right now, I"m searching for the correct trunk strut mounts, and eventually, struts/shocks/springs, but I'm wondering if low mi suspension bits ever even come up-seems to make no sense to put items with 90k on them on a car with 90K r.e suspension wear down?

Not sure about the strut mounts, but trunk struts are very reasonable on Amazon (search threads for proper part number, the spoiler trunk strut is different than non-spoiler). Also many threads with aftermarket suspension parts. I have noticed some order OEM parts from Japan at better prices than in the US.

My man BGW70 hooked me up with site https://www.car-part.com

You can put in your car and your zip code and it will show you parts that are near you.

I would not buy used suspension parts or trunk struts. Those are designed to wear out and it is better if you buy new ones.

However, makes great sense for mirrors and interior parts and other things that aren't designed to wear out.
