My recently acquired 2002 SC has a broken antenna. After some searching and reading here, I feel pretty good about making this a DIY job and I've decided to go with the OEM replacement part. I'm planning to get the replacement before removing the broken one. I look on eBay and I see two different part numbers for sale that have different appearances in the photos that accompany the eBay listings, both claiming they're the OEM part. I'm not finding any references to the OEM part number here on the forum so I'm making this post. On eBay I see P/N 86337-24181 from Bell Lexus and it has what looks like a copper sleeve on the base that inserts into the drive mechanism. I also see P/N 86337-24340 from several sellers on eBay that has a chrome finish on the base. Any advice on making the right choice based on your own experience would be appreciated

 

What you are looking at the is the Antenna Mast Assy, not the whole antenna assy. It is usually a pretty easy DIY operation if the plastic drive cable is broken in the right area. Sometimes motor/gear box disassembly is required.

The part number they show is 86337-24340.

There are aftermarket assy's that are much less expensive but I can't speak to their quality.
