Anyone have to replace the antenna screw-in? I dont need an $80 OEM but I was wondering if folks picked up a Universal replacement.

Please share what you've tried that works!

 

Probably any of the million Chinese replacements on eBay would work assuming the mounting stud has the correct thread. I couldn’t bring myself to buy a cheapie and went for the OEM Lexus part which was around $60.

 

I remember looking through threads a while ago and read that the antenna sticking up from the roof is for the navigation system and not the radio.
The radio antenna is supposedly in the read window. Read around someone wrote an extensive report on this when they did some wiring modifications before you spend the money.

Telephone antenna that's the one. Yes I remember reading they stuck it on all cars whether it is used or not.
