Default LED Conversion

Hey guys! I'm new to the Club Lexus forums so take it easy on me!! I have a 2005 Lexus SC430 MY05 and intend to swap out the dull halogen indicators with some bright LED ones, problem is, the stock housing is really small for the rear! Anyone actually retrofitted and successfully completed the front and rear and if so what bulbs and where?
ALSO, I have struggled trying to find LED BA9S bulbs that will work in the dome lights. The ones I've bought don't fit the SC housing, or the connectors don't allow the bulbs to work!! Does anyone have LED bulbs that they used which they can confirm works in the SC??

Dome Lights - What I did was to get an array LED with a modified connector that plugs in to the current (it was supplied with multiple connectors). bought this many years ago, am sure they still exist.

Rohan, please post a picture of your dome light with the lens off so we can see the bulb sockets. Depending on the sockets, it should take just a standard BA9S that is either reversed biased or non-polar.

I bought interior LED bulbs for my Tundra, but don't like the color of the stark-white light they emit. Another knock in luxury cars is that you don't get the gradually on/gradual off effect. Be sure you can live with these drawbacks before hassling with the swap.

LED bulbs can be purchased with different color temperatures, usually expressed as temperature in K or descriptions like "warm" or "daylight" or "cool white". I've bought LED bulbs like you and ended up taking them out and swapping for a lower K temperature bulb because they were too blue. You don't have to live with the stark white - research and swap them out for something less depressing.

I had a hard enough time finding bulbs that fit each particular fixture, let alone finding the proper K value I prefer. I thought going LED, I would get a brighter light, and I didn't. I'm 64 years old, so, I need all the light I can get! I assume they come in different "wattages" as well, but again, one can't be too picky. Over time, it will likely get easier to get exactly what one wants as manufacturers and vendors figure out what the public wants/needs, but currently, it's a challenge.

This thread should help. Though, if you're referring to turn signals, I actually chose to go with "stealth bulbs" instead of LED because of the fast-blinker issue with LEDs. I went LED on pretty much everything else.
