My name is Joe. I was wondering if anyone on this forum used to own my 2006 SC. Does anyone else have a 2006+ with this color combo? I wonder how many were produced. I had her shipped from CA to NJ since I loved the combo and wanted a 2006+. Also, it was serviced at San Diego Lexus since 2006 until 2016. 143k and counting, runs like a dream.

Welcome to the club, I have a 2002 in this color combo. I believe They did this color combo 2002-2006.
If you look in the stickies, the production numbers are there for each year.

 

thanks that was one of the selling points. Lexus changed the belt and water pump at 87k.

 

thanks I will have to check it out. did you have a paint fading problem on the roof and hood? Maybe since mine was a cali car.

 

Like BGW, I also have a 2002 with the same colors. No paint problems yet, just headlight hazing and mine has been in Texas its entire life, I believe. (BGW's is a Florida car, so both with intense sun applications.)

 

I get it detailed every year and it brings the shine back. For some reason the hood and roof get dull, the trunk keeps its shine. Maybe since they are aluminum?

 

the paint is fine but I replaced the front leather seats, console armrest and rear headrests.

 

Congrats and welcome to the CL. I have same problem, the hood is not as shine as the rest of the car.
