plse someone help, i accidently tap a test light to the yellow ignition wire under the glovebox and it shorted, now my car wont start unless i put it in neutral and i cant turn it off unless i pull a fuse....anybody got any idea wht i shorted out? dont want to take it to the stealership
Can you take a picture of the wire and area were you bumped this wire please.
Im guessing there is a relay on the back of the Push start button module and maybe you shorted that out? Whats weird is that it will work if the car is in N but not in P??
its the yellow wire behind the glovebox, yea i chked all the fuse n relay....was using a test light w/ ignition on and tapped into that wire n it sparked...then all the instrumental gauge lights cut off and on again....and cant turn off car
took it to the dealer, they saying its the ecu, crap so iuno if its really ecu or neutral safety switch....yea all the light is right and radio and everything works
They are likely right. Either the Power Source Control ECU or the ECM. I've attached a wiring diagram as reference. Gives you a better idea of what the circuit looks like.
thanks alot,...i have a question....so my lil bro told them to go ahead and order the part and do the job, they quoted the part $1,042.80, but we can get it on sewellpart.com for like $636.11, so i called the dealer back they said the cant cancel it, and they gonna keep the car until its done. can they do that.
