Default Bluetooth for 2002 SC430

Has anyone had luck with adding bluetooth to the OEM radio in this model? Any suggestions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm considering this for my 06. (I think it will work on 02, but double check)

What I really like is that you retain steering wheel controls, so you don't have to touch your phone to do pause/next/prev/etc.

After talking with the folks at grom, they brought to my attention this: https://gromaudio.com/store/bt3_adap...interface.html

If you don't need USB input, it's an even cheaper option. They have a $15 off coupon code until the 30th, so I got it for $130.

I think I'm going to just worry about audio for the time being, and then maybe sometime down the road do something about video to the nav screen... maybe phone mirroring and backup camera.

I just did a post on this but it didn't post for some reason so my apologies if it comes up later. The website says that the adapter is for 2005 and later years. I do know that there was some kind of a change in the harness of the head unit in 05 but I have no idea what is was. Maybe someone who has the schematics for 2004 and 2005 could brief us. Thanks.

Here's what I did for mine:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...-a-budget.html

You have to find an adapter for an audio input (connect to the AUX on my stereo), lots of options.

In my case after I installed the Vaistech SL2U. ONce this was done, I purchased a Bluetooth Adapter (Bluetrip USB Adapter with Speaker output). Located it on my console box. Happy with it. It will be set up on AUX. Then I pair it with my Iphone. All my other cars have the same set up.
