So it sounds like you put the radio in yourself, which leads me to believe that you are not afraid to tackle electronics.
Did you check the nav screen harness for power? There should be power to run the motor for the door.
The beatsonics, ties directly into the nav screen right? I think I recall something about having to splice into the Red/Green/Blue video wires in the trunk. Did you check to see if you were getting power to your beatsonic unit? Do you recall if there was an inline fuse in the beatsonic power wire?
