seriously, if you want it to be a sports car just drop in into 3rd gear - it's like driving a totally different car
Or use the S-shift.
Power ECT also nice.

Naples is wonderful in the winter. Not sure I would like it in the summer. I do wish I had my SC430 down here for some top down cruising.

Bringing this thread up for the new SC owners.

Do you think the SC look dated or it is still
eye striking today compare to when it first come out?

Is the love affair still there with the beloved SC 430?

Aged well in my opinion.

Modern classic looking? Probably yes. Old classic looking in the meaning of a 300SL Gullwing, C2, E-Type, XKSSS, 250 GTO or DB5? Nah, I don‘t think so. Maybe a little bit like the DB5 which appears to me more ‘handsome‘ than ‘beautiful‘.

But hey, what do I know

The bubble shape of the SC when it was first
introduced was not well received when it first
came out but today it is actually quite unique.

I think as the years go by, the SC that is well
care for will be very sought after.

The love affair continues ...

My neighbor drives an IS. Let's just say my SC turns his head when it comes out of the garage.

Once in a while I come across an SC (while I am out with my SC) and am so happy I start waving at the Driver. I would also be happy if a fellow SC owner starts waving! All good.

Definitely Classic. And yea. She's a head turner. You can just see the envy in some peoples faces when your driving with the top down, stereo cranked up and obviously enjoying life a little bit more than them! LOL.

Would like to see some local Seattle area SC owners get together!

It could be me rather than the car 😇. Every time I drive it, I have a smile on my face- much more approachable!

Not a macho car styling wise. Which as it turns out was not an important thing.

form follows function. Low wind in cabin is a patented feature of the body I understand. Plus the thicker doors may be a crash advantage?

i laugh as my last hardtop convertible was my 1958 corvette.

50 years of technology later what a trip.

the vette after serious mods would do zero to 60 twice as fast as the Sc.

Everything else on the Sc is a astounding improvement.

vette had no heater,

scary fast race car.

Sc is a Technological marvel. The marvel is its reliability

I saw this post and I had to chime in.
IMO, Luxury when done with an eye to style, NEVER gets dated. The interior is devoid of superflous lines and textures ( have you seen Audi's LED strips on their interiors? Looks like trashy Star Trek!) and the quality of the leathers speaks of REFINED elegance. It was never over-done or gaudy.
Furthermore, the colors seem to be purposely masculine or feminine. My SC is Midnight Pine with Saddle hides which caused one woman friend to exclaim upon seeing it "SEXY!!!" and THAT my friends is NEVER EVER out of style!
In short, if you CARE for your SC430 and keep the paint protected with products that provide good reflective depth you'll be envied by those in your rear-view mirror.
Happy Motoring!
Frank
