Gotta say classic.

Virtually everywhere I go with the car, somebody makes a comment about how attractive it is.

Nothing else that I've owned has gotten this sort of accolade.

We love it.

The SC430 has really aged well in my opinion.
I always like the car with the top up more than
with the top down.

I just hope as the car ages a few more years, the new generation
of owners will continue to keep it Factory Original.

I think if the car was ever “ Blinged our” then it will
lose the appeal of the original design .

After all these years, still love the SC430
The love affair continues

This car had been my dream car to own for many years. It is without question a classic. Something not to be transformed. Her designer did well in her making, every curve, every slight dip is where it belongs. I could go on and on speaking of her elegance. She is not to be changed only maintained driven for the luxury sports car she was meant to be. The SC 430 undoubtedly in her original state untouched by the weight of today's latest fad or bling in an attempt to mold her into what she is not keeps her royal blood intact. I was blessed enough to have been gifted a 2006 smokey mica last year 98000 miles for 17000.00. I am still and I am sure I shall continue to stand back in awe of her grace and timeless power taking a deep breath accepting that she is mine. Yes to love and to care for a marriage of bliss! Yes my friend the love affair definitely still continues.❤😁

IMO, Luxury when done with an eye to style, NEVER gets dated. The interior is devoid of superflous lines and textures ( have you seen Audi's LED strips on their interiors? Looks like trashy Star Trek!) and the quality of the leathers speaks of REFINED elegance. It was never over-done or gaudy.
Furthermore, the colors seem to be purposely masculine or feminine. My SC is Midnight Pine with Saddle hides which caused one woman friend to exclaim upon seeing it "SEXY!!!" and THAT my friends is NEVER EVER out of style!
In short, if you CARE for your SC430 and keep the paint protected with products that provide good reflective depth you'll be envied by those in your rear-view mirror.
Happy Motoring!

Gang, I just bought a Tesla Y after my RX got hit by a JackA^^ on the freeway. Thankfully, family was ok. As for my SC, yea never going to sell my pearl white on white SC. The car has been a joy to drive and she has always been a weekend cruiser. If you haven’t tint the windows, suggest all SC friends to get that done. Your ride will be much more enjoyable!

I have 2 extra rim Star caps that are new if anyone need them.
letting them go for $125 with free shipping. The rim caps
in my opinion will transform your SC as well

Default Timeless Classic

IMO the original design is classic and almost timeless; could in time become a true coveted collectors vehicle.

Related issue: I admit that the exterior/interior color combination can make a big difference (as well as size/style of wheels) ... sure did for me :-).

I thought it was just another "jelly bean" car till I drove it. I bought it because I could see a good investment even if I didnt like it. My first expedience driving it was after I bought it to drive it home from SC, 1400 miles. I am 85 years old but that 1400 mile drive was pleasant. It is now my favorite drive and the LS 430 sits most of the week.

Bringing this thread back for the old timers and the newbies . Does the love affair continue with the SC430? Is the styling now dated after “ 21 years “ of its inception? Or has it been more iconic?

Just recently got a newer SC 07 PB so you guys know my opinion on the SC430 some pics of my 07 and her lines Never realized until recently the SC430 truly have some interesting shape and lines

My understanding is the sc430’s body shape was designed for reduced cabin airflow with the top down and was/is patented. I put in a cabriolet wind screen and that along with a luxlink quarter window control results in an almost still cabin with the top down and the rear quarter windows up at 80mph. Form in this case followed function.

I used to own BMW's in the 70's but they are too expensive these days. The SC 430 is the best looking and cheapest sportscar available. I also did not want a soft top.

Actually. the 06 SC is one of the newest vehicles I own and I consider it modern. The LS is an o4, the Astor is an 01. The Sky and the ranger are only 08s. But the SC HAS been driven the most, over 180,000 and the 01 Astro has only 96,000. Kinda says which is the most enjoyed. Those are my "driven" cars. I have others but they are not driven.
