Default Front Plates in MD

For any of you driving around Maryland without a front license plate, don't listen to your dealer if he said you won't be stopped. I got nailed yesterday with a $50 fine by a non-too-kind trooper. Not sure yet if it costs me any points.

people should also beware in CA

i dought it will cost u points. just pay the fine, and get on with enjoying the car

did he pull you over for just the plate or anything else? usully here in CA, you get pulled over for speeding and then the officer tags on fines for plates and or burned out lights, side markers, and so on.

Yeah, he says he caught me at 84 in a 65 zone. I think he said he was using photo radar. My V1 didn't register a thing, and perhaps not having the front plate is why he pursued me. Still not sure how he did it, if he in deed did it with photoradar, since he was traveling in the opposite direction.

A meter maid a while back gave me a ticket for no front plate. In CA, they're "fixit" tickets, so I attached the plate using some removable velcro, had an officer sign off, and sent it in with my $15 processing fee/fine. Took the plate back off the same day. Have not had any problems except for that incident, luckily.
