Question for those who have installed the spare tire conversion kit. What did you do with the trunk Carpet Cargo Mat? Did you just take it out or have it cut and then have that edge rebound to fit the cut out?

I am talking about the carpet mat not the spare tire hole cover mat which I also cut to replace part 64711-24171-BO for Steve's SC. I had bought that part off e-bay new for $39.0 so I had mine as a spare. The Cargo carpet mat was a accessories like the cargo net. It has the Lexus Lego and Lexus monogramed into the carpet. For the part we made cutting the existing rear floor mate out I ordered some light grey auto channel cover edging to cover the edge that we cut out. (Rims are here got to go)
I cut the board and the carpet mat.
note the black tab on the board. I moved from the side I cut and glued it to the board. JB Weld works on fabric.
Carpet on the left Tab moved and glued with JB Weld Bonus, the blimp must be flying up to Daytona for the race. It just flew by about 15min ago when I was taking pictures of the mat and cover
Are you concerned that the carpet will ravel on that edge? Not the fiber board one but the Cargo Carpet Mat.
Update I went and took another look at the Cargo Carpet Mat and based on the close nape of the carpet I cut it. Like you Bgw70 I am not concerned with the carpet raveling. Again thanks for the guidance.
