It is Done
Today I received and installed the Multi-Display Unit (Dash Navigation Screen System). I ordered it from Benzeen Parts (formerly known as TLS Auto Recycling in Rancho Cordova, CA. These guys were great, they shipped it via Fedex the same day I ordered in on E-bay. It was out of a 2006 SC 430 and works like a champ. They were asking $200 and I offered $150 plus $15.00 for shipping and they accepted my offer. I now have a functioning tilting and retracting Navigation Door. The wood grain color was the same but I switched out the door with mine because I thought it matched the wood grain on my dash better. All systems on the SC are now up and running as they should be. So much for the $9,999 estimated that the original owner got from Lexus of Tulsa to replace.

Lesson learned: don’t trust what the dealer told you. Listen to your fellow friends from this fine forum. LOL.

Man it was. Once I got it put back together and everything was back in place. I inserted the key and hit the open button and the door starting moving and then the screen started tilting forward and I said "Thank You Lord"

Glad that you got it repaired Dennis. That's always a relief when you get your car restored back to full function.

Hi, Is there a connection between the tilt switch on a/c unit and the nav screen? I have observed a plug on the top of the screen(4 prong) that is not connected to anything. Do you know what this is for?
I have a 2002 sc430, 55k miles.

On the back of the LCD panel (AC) there are 3 plugs and on the Nav Screen unit itself there is 2 a white one and a black one. I believe the black is on the right and the white is on the left. You cannot mix them up as they are different sizes.

There is such an innate pleasure of resolving an issue for the lowest cost. That I can say is a typical Japanese approach.
