After I had my timing belt changed, by local respected shop, my MPG went from 18-21 mpg to 12 -15 mpg. 2002 with 49,000 miles. Original owner.

Sounds like the shop messed up the timing when they did the belt replacement.

When I bought it last month, I got 16mpg. After replacing spark plugs, ignition coils , transmission fluid, rear diff fluid, PCV vale, TB clean up, air filter, now i'm getting about 20-21mpg.
