Default Is It Possible

Is it possible to disable the opening Nav screen where you must agree on a 2005 SC 430 before it moves to the map?

Generally, no. But I think some one in this forum found the way to disable it. I can’t recall who. You might want to the advance search.

Mine is closed 99% of the time, so it doesn't bother me.

My NAVIKS is able to programatically 'press' the "I agree" prompt.

How? I didn’t know the Naviks could do that.

This worked for me on my '02: When you first start the car wait until it does the usual open and the "I agree" screen appears. Hit the close button and wait until the screen retracts and the nav door closes completely. Restart the car and the door shouldn't open.

I was asking if you could bypass the screen shot of I agree so it would go directly to the map location.

Aha! Yeah not sure if that's possible with the factory nav

The VAIS iPod/iPhone adapter has that as a bonus feature. It "presses" the "I AGREE" about two seconds after it appears.

Check my signature for other stuff you can do!

NAVIKS is a module that can allow for the easy installation of a backup camera on the SC430 - the backup image appears on the Nav screen. I had a NAVIKS unit and a backup camera installed on my 2006 SC430; total cost was around $250-300 I think. A worthwhile mod for those worried about bumping into things when they back up. You should be able to read all about the NAVIKS unit and the backup camera install by searching this forum. Good luck!

I had my NAVIKS installed at Best Buy, believe it or not. The installer there is very good, and I've had him do a couple of installs for my Lexus cars with great success. I bought the NAVIKS unit and backup camera via Amazon (

).

Here's the camera I bought via Amazon:

Total for the hardware was $220, and I think the install was around $75-90 at Best Buy.
