That’s the JDM Lexus Rear Seat cover. There’s another picture in my signature panel block below. They are no longer produced and probably next to impossible to find a ‘complete’ kit which includes the cover, mounting hardware, seat liner, and installation templates.

What was the purpose of that cover though?

Changes the car from a 2+2 to a two seater in the sense that the two rear seat area is completely enclosed by the cover. This also created more storage space (about nine cubic feet) for the car. For example, I can chose to flip up the cover and drop in a set of golf clubs, or luggage and then close the cover completely concealing them from view. Also, the interior lining component protects all the interior leather from any sort of damage. Then I can drop the top with my gear concealed behind me and the top stowed in the trunk.

......I'm going to try this method, in a few hours & see if it works, without the warning bells. This is a method that was shared years ago, but I don't remember the sequence used to accomplish it. If indeed it is the same, the warning bell will ring when you start to drive the car. I think the computer reads there is an error, because the quarters are up & the top is down.

I tried it but no luck. Not sure if I'm not doing it right or not but don't think it's working. Maybe he has a mod?
