Doe anybody know if there is any other parts the Glass installer would need to replace a Windshield on the SC430? I noticed on the Driver side the Moulding/Gasket on top right of Windshield (where the gasket turns the corner to go down the right side of the Window).
I looked and I believe there is a right and a separate left side part, also there is another that runs along the top of the windshield.
Has anybody replaced any of those parts I mentioned??? Do we need new clips or anything else to complete the install?
If so, did you have a Glass installer do them?
When I replace my Drivers Windshield, I want to make sure the installer replaces them at the same time! (15 years on those parts has take their toll). I wonder if the installer can add those parts to the Bill for my insurance company?
Any thoughts and help would be most appreciated on this matter!!
Well I suppose you would need to show damage to the components, other than the glass windshield itself, was caused by whatever you say cracked the windshield. If it’s just age, you may be out of luck for an insurance settlement. But I am no expert.
