My vsc off /vsc and abs light came on. I tried to do the jumper wire on the obd2 plug but it still stayed on. Not sure if I'm doing it correctly but looked like I followed everything stated. Was wondering what else I can check before ordering any parts I don't need. Can I just clean the abs sensors and how can I tell which side(if that's the problem).

Check your brake fluid and also do a reset by disconnecting battery for 15 min. See if that make a difference
Any chance you turned your traction control off? There is a switch in the center console. If your traction control is off, then your ABS light comes on.
If it is not that, I would recommend you go to an auto parts store and ask them to read your codes. Or buy this cheap reader from Amazon. It won't do Lexus/Toyota specific codes, but it does the generic ones. (ABS probably is a toyota specific code)

Yeah I checked the switch first. OK. I just unplugged battery.. Not sure how long I needed to do it, but did it for about 3-4 min. Didn't work. Went to advanced auto.. Guy said they dont check codes (same place I check mines before) . And auto zone say they only check 'check engine lights".

if you shorted pins 4&14, turn key on for five seconds then turned key off and removed short.
plus disconnected the battery, reconnected and VSC lights are still on...I would say you have a continuous problem.
try going to another store to ask them to check for codes.
you could tell them the VSC is like the check engine light on these cars...or just take it to your mechanic.
another option is to purchase TechStream on Amazon or eBay, $25, and check it yourself.
BGW Has a good point, why spend $34 when you can by the problem solver for $25
My guess is when you get the codes read, it will be something like a wheel sensor. Have you had your tires or brakes fixed recently?
Never heard of techstream, but I will give it a try. Does it tell which side the the sensor is causing the problem. I ordered one of these small obd2 Bluetooth code reader a month ago, but it didn't even detect the car. And no on the brakes and tires.
Zero point calibration(or something like that) is what you should research to get those VSC lights off. Anytime you use a regular OBD reader that will trigger those lights to come on
My ABS light was on and the speedometer was not working. The results was to replace the skid ECU. $ 3200. They also recommended replacing all the LED light that I had swapped back to the original light bulbs.

What was there rational to change the led back to OEM. The skid ECU sounds like its way to much money in my opinion
finally purchased techstream. was able to read code today. this is what i got. saw online that sometimes the wire to the abs goes bad, but not sure if it leads to abs control system malfunction.
