Default Rear Seat Headrest Replacement

The rear seat headrest leather shrank and was showing the white plastic shell.
i contacted the owner of lseat.com and asked him if he would only sell me the headrests leather. This is the same company i used for my front seat leather.
He sold me the rear headrest leather for $40.
it was very easy to replace and the job took about one hour!

Thanks Bgw. This is a problem shared by a large percentage of owners. Good to know that there is a solution that is not as difficult as recovering the seats! (Shoot, I even know where that is!)

Nice to know there is a good/easy option for this if needed since it is a common issue with leather/age. Nice write-up!

I contacted LSeat a couple of weeks ago about these and got a response that they are now $50.00 each. Just an FYI.

I had a similar problem with my 2004 SC430 which I purchased July 2020. I removed both headrests and took them to a couple of local auto upholstery shops for estimates. I got both recovered for $80, it took 2 days and they came out looking great.

This might be another option if you are a little "upholstery challenged" like me. Your estimate may differ. My interior is the black leather and the guy had a roll under his work table that matched perfectly. No need for him to order anything special. I may have caught him at a good time because I think he may have been looking for work.

I've been reading recent Google reviews and people have not been speaking highly about his products or service. The most common complaints is the lack of communication and the skins not fitting properly as in they're too small for whatever they are replacing. This sucks because I wanted to replace my seat covers and rear head rests. There really isn't anything wrong with mine. I just wanted black stitching with my ecru leather which only the 2009 Pebble Beach edition models had. Anyone used lseat.com recently and had a good experience or at least can recommend another leather place? I'm in the Tampa Bay area. Thanks.

Here are some photos of my headrest covers. As you can see mine was really faded. The PO lived at the beach and parked the car outside. I also re-skinned the seats. Other than the difference in the grain of the leather the color is close. Once installed it is an even less noticeable difference. As far as the fit, I have no complaints. Plenty of material to cover. Once in the heat the wrinkles smoothed out of the seats and I expect the same of the headrests.
