Default Possible Fuel Leak

A few days ago, I cleaned out my cold air filter. I didn't realize how clogged it had become since the last time I cleaned it. (It's pretty dusty here). Anyway, after I cleaned it, I noticed a faint fuel smell when I started up my car the next few times I drove it. When I got home today, there was a strong fuel smell when I parked in the garage.

I popped the hood and found gas coming out of the top of the black part pictured here. Any idea what would cause it to leak? I'm not sure if it's related to my cleaning the filter or just a coincidence.

Thanks

I decided not to mess with it and dropped it off at Lexus just now.

The fuel line does run into that part that is leaking. It's a small black cylinder just before the line runs into the engine.

I don't think the fuel line is cracked. I think I may have inadvertently knocked something off that part. I also detailed the engine with rags, so I might have knocked something loose.

Considering the possibility of fire, probably a good decision. Please circle back and let us know what it turned out to be. Also, whatever the heck that part is!

that part looks like the pulsation damper on the fuel injector rail...
23270-50010
there are also 2 o-rings for each pulsation damper.
23232-41081 (upper o-ring)
90430-12026 (lower o-ring)

these are the numbers from the gs however.

I think you nailed it. Looks like a $75 part. So even if Lexus bends me over, I should be out of there for less than $300. They haven't touched my car yet, of course. So I don't have an estimate.

Lexus being Lexus said it's $160 for the part. Labor will be covered by the diagnostic fee. So $280 plus tax. On the bright side, I made it one more day without dying in a fiery explosion.
