Default Fuel filter???

I have a 92' SC4 and it starts fine in the morning with the crank, but when I leave work for lunch....I have to crank the car about 5 times because it bogs down and cuts off. I also smell gas when this happens. Could this be the fuel filter? How much is the filter? Thanks!

if its intermittent, it might be something else.

Mine was doing the same, it does not matter its hot start or cold start, it bogs then dies. happen very rarely, and if I just shut the car, pull the key out, then restart the car in the next minute it work just fine.

its not the fuel filter, not the fuel, not injector. I suspect it might be fuel controler computer (this is the next part I would replace).

My problem exactly! How much does the fuel controller computer cost?
