What are the stars wheels that you can use to replace the dinner plates, and where do you get them?
I just bought a 2005 that had run flat tires, so where can I find a spare tire kit? Web site would be nice

A lot of us got compatible tires that are either the same (from a different Toyota model) or will fit (RX8) though maybe smaller. Do a search on "spare tire" on this forum and you'll find a lot of suggestions and methods of storage. I got a Supra spare (basically the same tire/wheel) off of either Craig's list or the Supra forum (I don't recall right now but think it was the Supra forum).

Welcome to the forum.

Hey Bgw70..... PLEASE explain what robertward is asking for in his original posting... first sentence is this:

What are the stars wheels that you can use to replace the dinner plates, and where do you get them?

LoL, I see the disconnect now!
the first post is about the Star vs pieplates, the second is about spare tires, then you answer the first but don't use the quote and I thought you were referring to the second post...it's all good and I will delete my post.

as we both learned, it's better to quote so the additional readers don't loose the meaning...don't you agree?

My wife hated the stock rims for her 2006 .. and her tires! So... new Firestone Indy 500s (their the bomb compared to the others .. got rid of run-flats) and new American Racing rims. Looks great.. and drives completely different than the car she bought. Quieter, smoother, etc,

Thanks! The Firestones really woke the ride, comfort and handling of this car. I was overwhelming surprised at the feel, noise and ride comfort improvement! The Firestones Firehawk Indy 500s and are 245/40R18. The wheels can be seen here... American Racing American Racing AR904 Wheel 18x8 5x4.5 (5x114.3) Chrome 45MM Offset and you have to purchase lug nuts to go with. The AR904s come in various finishes. We have had two other SC owners follow us to restaurants, Home Depot and/or even house to ask about the tires and wheels. I guess many are looking for something different.
