Default Cheap Headlight Cover Replacement?

Hi All,

I own an 02 SC. Today a truck in front of me made a sudden turn without signaling in 20 mph traffic. Since it was a slow-speed collision, there was no serious damage, but the driver's side headlight cover is now cracked and a piece is missing.

I know these can be expensive to replace, so Im looking for any cheap options that might exist.

Thank You!

if you want used, look on your local Craigslist and also search eBay...plenty of parts.

This brings up another point, are the headlights one size fit all for 2nd gen SC's? It's not the headlight washer cover, just the driver's side headlight cover.

....2002-2005 use the same headlights, then they change @ 2006 +......I replied to your pm & was wondering if you're just trying to buy the cover or the whole headlight assembly

Thanks for the info, I did not know that! I just sent a reply, but I am just looking for the cover, the rest of the assembly is in-tact.

i misunderstood you, when you said,
"the driver's side headlight cover is now cracked and a piece is missing."
i thought you were saying it was cracked and another piece was missing...

anyway, if you just want to replace the headlight plastic cover, you may be out of luck because I have never seen anyone sell a plastic headlight cover. They only sell the headlight.

plus you have to heat the assembly to separate it from the rest of the headlight. Then you have to heat the pieces to put them back together. In doing all that you may or may not get a watertight seal.

Yeah, tried doing a bit of searching and it's the whole assembly, which makes sense. Anyway, I found a local retailer that only sells replacement headlights. Can anyone tell me if it will be a major problem installing the new headlight if the lower-outer tab is missing or any tab for that matter, if it's just one?

......the assembly has 3 tabs & on the outside edge of the light, there is a pin. If you only have 1 tab broken, you should be ok,especially if it isn't broken all the way off, you'll still be able to tighten them all down. I think the pin is the key component because it holds the light in place & at a certain height
