Default What should I change?

I have some vibration under breaking so I went to a Lexus dealer yesterday to diagnose the problem and had my breaks checked, the results were:

Break discs:
Front 30mm
Rear 11.5mm

Break pads:
Front 3mm
Rear 5mm

Obviously I need the front break discs changed which means changing the front pads too.

Should I change the rear pads? 5mm seems like a lot still.

Aslo as my rear rotors are in nearly perfect condition if I wanted to upgrade the front rotor to say Power stop ones would it be ok just to upgrade the front rotors only or do I NEED to upgrade both at the same time?

if the rotors are not warped or too thin, just install new quality brake pads!
i am Running the Power Stop Z23 pads on my SC430.

if you need to rotors, I would replace them with Centric rotors or some other quality product.

BTW, brakes were discussed recently in another thread.

Just thought I'd chime in here. I have a set of front and rear Drilled & Slotted rotors that are bolt on for the SC430 for sale in the classifieds. Why not improve the look of the car if you're going to do a brake swap? Just a thought. Here's the link. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...0-parts-3.html

Oh, I guess you're in Ukraine. I don't think I can ship that far. Oops. Sorry.

What I mainly meant to ask is whether I can upgrade one set of rotors at a time?

....since most of the braking is done by the front, I would change the front rotors first, add pads & see if this eliminates your problem

And you think it would be ok to upgrade just the front ones to say Power Stop drilled/slotted and leave the rears oem? will change the pads on all regardless.

...yea thats not an issue at all.....most would change all 4 because of the look, but you can definitely just do the front, then do the rears later when you get a chance or budget allows

I have read multiple articles that except for looks and style drilled and/or slotted rotors for street cars are a waste of money and might actually decrease brake performance on a street car ( ie. not a race car that normally runs extremely high brake pad and rotor temps). No problem to change rotors on only one axle (in pairs of course) independently front or back. Rotors do vary in quality so get a set of better quality rotors not bottom of the barrel Chinese junk.
