I just acquired a 2002 SC430 with 52,000 miles. The car is red with a black interior and has the Mark Levinson sound system. It also has GPS nav.
I traded a 1999 Boxster and cash for the SC430. The boxster was a good car but I think that as I age the 430 will be more enjoyable to drive.
Would like to add bluetooth in the near future. Would also like to change door settings to unlock when put in park and reset a couple other settings.
I will be using the search feature alot. Looking forward to driving the 430 for many miles.

welcome to CL, you have a really nice car!
i have the door locks set to unlock when placed in park. This setting is changed using TechStream software. The dealer can do it for $$$ or you can purchase the software on eBay for under $30. Just do an advanced search, deselect all threads, then select only the sc430 threads...Search Tech Stream or TechStream.

Looks great! I had a Boxster and hated getting in and out of it, the SC is so much nicer to drive and get in and out of!! The SC also seems much larger inside, the Boxster I always felt closed in.

I agree. The boxster was fun to drive , but for features and comfort the 430 is in a different league.

Congrats!
I purchased my Silver 2002 SC430 last week, Thursday! Nearly identical miles, as well... mine has/had 53,000 when I purchased it.

Loving it! I've ordered the component to have back up camera installed, tied to the factory nav. I really firmly believe in backup cameras! A relative of mine accidentally backed up and drove over her infant child, and killed him (50 years ago....)

Enjoy your new SC, and keep us updated on any improvements/changes you make.
