Default Question DIY-ers

Good morning Club lexus!
Well I got my first ever check engine light In this car! Which is not the greatest thing but I figured after 10yrs of ownership, 1st CEL, not too shabby!
Anyhow, after using code scanner found out it was due to misfires of the ignition coils so we suspect... My question is is it possible for do-it-yourselfers to change out the ignition coils and spark plugs or is it best off being done by a professional mechanic?
Thanks and advance for any and all advice given.

It is easy on this car. Do it yourself, save that money for family over Christmas.

Thanks for the quick response!
Even better to hear that it's an easy task!
Don't want to sound like an idiot but could you emphasize a slight bit more on how easy of a task it is... Or what the procedure is ?

Many many thanks!

Take the cover off the top of the engine. The drivers side is right there nothing in the way. Passengers side remove the air box. If you have trouble with the back plug on passenger side you can take the battery out for more room.i find it easier to take the wire plug off of the coil before unbolting it.

Here is a full write up by. If you read on page two it will tell you how to remove the air box . His had an aftermarket air intake on it. That is why his pictures look a little different.
