Default Replaced headlight and now car won't start- please help!!

Hey Guys I replaced my headlight today, was really hard but I got it done. To my surprise, when I went to start my car it turned over then died. A gas smelled followed with a slight hissing. I also worked on my intake today because there was a leak, but I don't see how that's related? Any suggestions? Maybe a fuel pump relay? She doesn't seem like she is getting fuel and dies! Please help!!

Dude, seriously since the accident I think your car needs an exorcist!

It's gotta be related to the intake. My guess is that you didn't connect a sensor or something like that and now the air/gas mixture is all messed up.

I definitely feel for ya -- you've been through a lot.

Any other ideas? I agree has to be related to intake. That's the only mechanical thing I did today. Everything else was just the headlight

Double check all the connections and hoses you touched / disturbed during the recent work and anything nearby that might have gotten disturbed.
Next try connecting your code scan tool to check for any new codes logged or pending.

Yes I sprayed the MAF with MAF cleaner and put dielectric grease on the connection.

Any other ideas?? I checked for loose sensors (throttle position sensor, camshaft position sensor) and they are tight. I'm putting in a new MAF tomorrow, but I feel like something is just not working. I tried to check for the fuel pump relay, but our owners manual doesn't identify relays or fuses or does it??

Do you hear the fuel pump wind up when you turn the key to ON?

Here is a photo showing the fuel pump relay :

Hey Buddy- I'm afraid I don't know what the fuel pump sounds like. Is it a humming sound?

The car dies within about a second or two after staring. I have been looking on the internet all night and it seems like this could be a bad fuel pump relay. I'm going to pull and inspect tomorrow. Thanks for the pic that's very helpful!!

But how could the relay go bad? I did have a few spark on my battery when I disconnected. Could that related? Everytime I see sparks somewhere I have the electrical gremlins emerge..

I also disconnected the MAF. The car did the same think with MAF. It just died. Now I don't think it's the MAF..

It is possible the MAF is damaged but I would try this first.
Did you put dielectric on the pins in the connector?
If so, get the MAF cleaner out again and stray out the connector to remove all of the grease from the pins.
If you only put the dielectric grease on the rubber connector parts then your MAF is most likely bad.

Dielectric grease is an insulator not a conductor.

Well I disconnected the MAF completely and the car just died- same as with MAF plugged in- wouldn't that indicate the MAF is NOT the problem?? Also I asked lots of people and everyone told me to put dielectric grease directly on the metal pins?!

Pulled and replaced fuel pump relay... Nothing.

BUT now the ecu generated a code for IAT sensor- p0110 bank 1 sensor. Where there heck is it?? Read its inside the MAF??
