Default Sc430 rip

Went WOT in the rain ESC off slight 15% curved road uphill rear spun out to the left middle lane and front wheels locked up pointing towards opposite lane coming down hill and my SC went over a 5" high concrete road divider and rammed into oncoming traffic
The 60kph painted speed limit on the road was actually what caused the accident. the paint was so thick it was a couple millimetres higher than the road surface.....
No more turbo project...... insurance pays only about 80% of what my car is worth so I'll be driving GFs 2nd gen GS300 for now and she'll finance for a new car. Loved my 430 apart from the weight... felt like cruising around in a bath tub

Uh, no. Your problem was going WOT in the rain with the traction control off and not having the capability to correct the car if something went wrong. This was all you, not on the paint.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I wish both drivers a speedy recovery. We all can learn from these experiences. Common denominator on both is the water. Please adjust driving habits to accomodate this potential hazard and always know the condition and operating parameters of your TIRES.

Thanks,

Tom

WHY! And the outcome surprised you?

Hope nobody was hurt.

Edited after thinking about it.

Hey sleeping, FLYCT has a good point, you might want to edit your post and remove some of the descriptive words...remember, never admit guilt even if it is obvious...

Sorry to hear about your accident. Best of luck in your efforts to recover.

Was everyone involved okay (physically)?

ouch, hurts looking at your SC! sorry that happened ! hope everyone is good!

and yeah the sc is very unpredictable because of its weight and not really a "well handling" car which is why you have to be very careful.. Specially in the rain even with traction control on but yeah having it off is a big no no!!

it has slipped on me also in the rain but then again I know I asked for it

Anyhow hope everything works out and definitely edit your post like FLYCT said. (btw I'm proud to see how polite & helpful people are even though someone is pointing to there own fault... good work guys )

goodluck

Wow! Also hope nobody was hurt. Not a car for bad weather ans I certainly agree with the editing - TMI in public. WOT on public roads ? Especially in bad conditions the car really needs help from the VCS. Good luck!

I know how it drives with VSC off(fish tail like crazyMOFO) in the wet going wot but on that day I just forgot it was turned off.
Usually with VSC on WOT isn't a problem at all just twitch a little.
But anyway... treasure your SCs while they are still good.
It was a nice car but I won't look back again coz of the weight and mediocre performance.

That's my attitude as well. When a car gets totaled all it means to me is i get to buy a new car!
