Default CD Jammed in stereo

When it rains, it pours. My CD's in my 2002 SC430 are jammed. They won't cycle or eject.

Does anyone have a work around or do I need a new stereo?

I read this in a previous post. It must work for some, give it a try. Below is a copy and paste instructions.

If the problem is just a stuck cd. My other car is an Acura RL and reading on their forum about stuck cd's. I tried this on a friends car that had stuck cd's and it worked. Turn on the radio, press cd button, hold down the eject button and give the dash above the radio a good smack. My friend was amazed when the cd popped out. Hope it works for you!!!

I had the same problem. And in another post it suggested to disconnect the battery, wait for a few minutes, then reconnect it. I did it and it worked. The CDs ejected. It's worth a try.

It works! I actually tried it before reading this for something else. I was amazed and amused. I had almost spent $1,000 to have a new stereo put in.

I second disconnecting the battery. My CDs were jammed and after the airbag recall (where they disconnected the battery for a few hours) and presto change-o the CD player was unnamed.

I never imagined that I would say this...Dump the CD player. I did.

Either install an Iphone adapter and or Android adapter, or else upgrade to a new sound system. Fairly easy to do. Lots of DIY.

Load yours CD's on an Itouch or Iphone and enjoy a hassle free sound system.

Good luck.

Good luck.

The sound quality of a Compact Disc is still unrivaled. Especially in a Mark Levinson sound system...

You are correct. The music are listening to nowadays are compressed, you would not believe it.

Soon one day we will have to pay for a CD quality sound.

The sound quality has been greatly improved after I changed out the head unit and installed the pioneer head unit with the beatsonic interface.
The car, when my phone is connected, now has blue tooth, phone, multiple music services, GPS, graphic equalizer etc.

Could you see the CD in the opening or did it jam down inside?
