NAV disk
I think if I remembered correctly, every odd year number is when they come out with a new version of nav dvd and they will release on about August. I could be wrong, but I really do believe the current version was out since the end of 2013.
thanks bb430.... searched on previous threads and what's out on Ebay, I think version 14.1 for Gen 4 is the latest... now I'm just trying to find out where I can get it as a bargain...the cbeapest one I saw on Ebay is $157 for a brand new original
...14.1 would be the latest & they come out every year around Oct-Nov., $157 isn't a bad price for a new original
Check out the Vendor section, a lot of CL supporter vendors offer a break for us members. If you have GEN2-3, this is the last update available, 14.1. There are East Coast and West Coast editions as well, be sure you get the right one for you.
Thanks guys, just decided to go to local Lexus dealership and paid $169 + tax. It's a Gen 4 version 14.1 software. Dealership offers to install it for $39, I said no thanks, I think I might find time to do it tomorrow before I tackle the electronics project next week---->Naviks, Vaistech SL3B, Rydeen back up cam, TRD carbon fiber 4 inch whip antenna conversion, subwoofer replacement and an extra cig lighter plug power supply in the trunk.

Re. 12V supply, I didn't end up doing the trunk 12V socket becuase I wanted to get everything put back together for our meet. I bought a wired socket with an integrated fuse but didn't decide where to take the power - I want a line that supports 15 Amp so perhaps the roof motor or run a hot wire from the 12V in the console box. With a cable guide it's easy to run a cable the the area under the rear seat to the conole or shifter area.
Tip - Habour Freight has a great inexpensive cable guide - much more flexible and easier to use than the one I got from Home Depot. The new store in Sterlng is great!

Very cool. Good luck. I found the 14.1 DVD on Sewell for $99 - for some reason it was cheaper than the Gen 2 DVD's . Might have been a special offer when I first came out though. For those looking still L-Parts may have a good price.

and you don't need all that Lexus cover art and writing on the DVD, Sam's the man. $25 for the latest version delivered, marfil268@live.com. My maps have been current for years.
