Does anyone know the purpose of the small rubber/plastic grommet at the bottom center of the wind deflector on our cars? Didn't realize mine was missing until service manager pointed it out. Any ideas on where to find one? Thanks.

 

I think it just stabilizes the middle of the plexi. Not exactly a load-bearing part.

 

The dealer parts dept should be able to order one.

 

Tried Sewell and the dealer...no joy. Thinking about fabricating something. Thanks for the responses.

 

In the last week or two, someone mentioned that they found a SC430 in a junkyard. Maybe they can scrounge up the piece for you.

I actually just removed my rubber grommet of the deflector as it was causing some vibration noise due to the JL Audio system i have in the trunk. I also lowered the "bump stop" under the package tray that was causing some vibration noise of the package tray too. Clean and clear bass now!
