Is it true that a stock SC 430 will close the radio and Nav wood covers automatically if you have the top down and you lock the car with the factory remote? ***Anyone else want to answer this question***

Sounds great. Hopefully, you won't encounter the massive problems I had. Now that it's been 16 months for my 2010 I am very happy, even given the circumstances of my purchase. As a previous owner of a 2002 white gold SC and my current 2010, I can tell you I'm very happy I made the move. The 2010 is more stable and the electronics and other changes that were made only on the 2010 are worth it. And you now have joined a small club-there are only 329 of us who own this car. I assume all 329 are still around, not knowing any better. Congrats on a great buy.

Just picked up the patch from Beatsonic to be able to work the DVD and NAV while on the road. This ONLY works with the 2010 SC and all other Lexus models from 2010 and newer. Sorry if I misled anyone with the SC from years 02-09.
On the other hand, what a wonderful day. We picked up the patch, went out to lunch, and did a little Costco shopping, all with top-down in the 82 degree sunshine. I did pay my dues though, living in Chicago the first 33 years of my life. I didn't consider a convertible back in those days, but that was before hardtop convertibles! What a great life!

Beatsonic is a wiring harness, maybe a few diodes etc, that allows you to rip out your cassette deck and install a new headunit, nav unit, etc, retain your steering wheel controls, preserve the existing nav (if your into that) and allows the new unit to send video to the screen up top.

I think this will be a short thread. There only 229 2010 Lexus SC 430. How many belong to forum members? I know the mirrors have both turn signal lights and puddle light which no other model has and the significant change Is audio/video. The nav is HDD and the CD changer Is now DVD/CD changer, it has Bluetooth audio (Internet radio), iPod connector,XM radio, and USB outlet.
I'm going from my 02 SC to the 2010 and while I upgraded the head unit to the Bluetooth pioneer in my 02, I'm looking forward to not having a washed out screen with the top down.
I don't have a lot of plans with mods other than luxlink, moving my Lexus spare tire kit from the 02 to the 10, and replacing the runflats. Oh, the excitement!!!
