Rear Quarter Window Mod??
#16
I just received the ScyTec WR84 with a temperature ventilation feature. The install page cites model WR-16. I haven't decided where I want to put the switch nor selected yet the actual switch. I am thinking of installing in the rear seat area as you mention but leave the module and fuse in the trunk area near the NavTool which I am working on right now.
Any tips for the switch?
The install page show two wire for the switch - one for up and one for down. Both want a negative signal which I guess is simply ground?
Once I see the NavTool and cameras working I'll attempt this DIY too.

So, the switch would rock in one direction (to lower the windows) until you release it, and ditto for the other direction.
Having it integrated into the LuxLink makes the most elegant solution (3 short presses of the window down button activates the windows - and it's smart enough to know which direction to go).

Simplest thing is a SPDT momentary (center off) switch.

Its one of the best mods and really worth it. Looks super cool specially with the design of the SC.
best way to start is to gather the items on list (pg 5) start looking at pics and building it, doesn't take long.

No you need a momentary on-off-on switch. The one in your post is not momentary,
This one is.

Hello guys and gals. I have recently purchased a SC430 and loved this mod. I was messing around and loved the way the car looks with this rear window down. I have been searching ways to attempt this mod but am very scared to do it. I have just purchased the window roll up/down module but it seems there is only information with the install on with the relays. Has anyone else attempted this mod with the window roll up module?

Wiring
Alright, I am having some issues. I am not very good at this and wanted to run this by you guys before attempting to try this. What I got so far is blue and green wire to switch......brown and white wire to switch.......red to power........black to ground.........white/ blue and blue/black to left motor.......green/black and brown/blue to right motor.......and the yellow wires are not needed?
Can anyone confirm if this is right?
