Default real time help - castor correction

So, if you recall, my tires new to me sc430 had some bad tire wear on the inside. Put all new shoes on her and took her to get aligned. It was close to spec, just barely off, but they could not adjust it. I am thinking the only solution is to add these...

anyone have experience with these? Good brand? Anything else I should do when I replace these?

Also, is there a good place to order these? looks like they are on amazon for $350.00.

Thanks,

The unit says its for the GS model. Are you sure it will fit sc430?

Yes, it fits, GS and SC share this part. Confirmed at vendor site and on this site.

I ordered from Amazon, will report how it works out.

Thanks,
Cheaper than an OEM replacements at that price: About 1/2. That's all I know.

When your caster is marginal or slightly off, you need new tension arms or bushings in the tension arms.

By all means get the adjustable caster wishbones, but you will mask the pre-existing problem with the caster arm bushing, which by the way generally suffers from a hidden failure and is only testable properly off the car. ANY cracks in this bushing means it's toast as far as I can see.

The Lexus GS300 on CL men are haunted by this problem for a long time, and my old Twin Turbo Lexus GS300 (JDM Aristo) had it too.

How have they settled in. Is the car cured, or mostly cured ?

Took them about 4 hours to get the car aligned, but it drives awesome, better than ever. Got the camber to -1.1, where factory spec is -1 to -2.

The shop complained a little of how long it took, but did complement that everything was adjustable now, so before when they would say that "it was maxed out" or "as close as we could get it", this time they could make it perfect.

By the way to assist people looking solutions to other castor issues. the ACT 537 replacement bushing DOES fit the Lexus SC 430.

I only had to do the fronts. I don't recall if they had them for the rear. You can check their website.

I was told by Lexus that castor is not adjustable on the SC and it has nothing at all to do with tire wear. In your title, did you mean camber not caster?
