Low Voltage Code Air Bag Light
Hi all. First new thread for me. My '02 SC430, which had been in an accident, is throwing a low voltage code and showing the airbag light. In the infinite experience of this august group, and if you have gotten the problem fixed, what was the reason for the code (C1336)?
I picked up a used 2001 Lexus GS 300 about a year ago (this is my second, similar one). I purchased it with the airbag light on and I noticed that the headlights had been changed on the driver side, so I have to assume the car has been in an accident.
Yesterday I took it in to the dealer (something I only do if I have no other option) to help me figure out why the airbag light is on. They came back with 4 codes on their computer. Two were low voltage for the airbag and two were low voltage for the A/C unit.
The tech was was saying that he'd really need more time to do the diagnostic (costs around $500) and then would be able to give me a price on the parts. He suggested that it could be a new computer ($1500) or it could be a spiral cable ($300).
I'm stuck trying to figure out airbag light still too now.
