also, if I want it on both day and night, I was trying to find the fuse for ignition and seems like it has power even with the car off. does someone know a better place for that?

Park Light would be from the front markers tap.

You could also use something like a 12volt wireless relay switch http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-DC-ON-OFF-REMOTE-CONTROL-WIRELESS-RELAY-SWITCH-12V-DC-OUTPUT-RM100-/350570453496?pt=Car_Audio_Video&hash=item519fa099f8 and then just engage it when you want from the keyfob. Don't have to worry about snaking a wire into the cabin or tying into an existing harness. I chose to do something similar for my aux input stereo integration.

Wow, this is a good option! For $15 worth it. Thanks!

LED DRL's installed
Installed my new LED Daytime Running Lights today. I've ordered the relay switch mentioned by ShawnOK (Thanks BTW!) and will be wiring it up later this week.
Man these things are super bright! When they came in the mail I immediately pulled one out of the package and took it out to the car to touch the wires to the battery to see how bright they are. I saw spots for a while, kinda like when you look directly at the sun.

Looks great. First things first:
1. What kind, where and how much?
2. Install, how did you do it? Bumpers off?
Thanks.
And yes it is great looking.

Great posts and thank you to all who have shared, however maybe I'm too mechanical and not too electrical, but I have not seen any tips and/or pics of inside the engine compartment as to how you actually route and hook up the LED wires to the fuses. I see in my 02 SC430 fuse boxes on each side which are bolted down with bundled wires going into each box.

Not a Lexus, but definitely related... just to show you what you can do with $2-3 ebay LED strips It's my almight TOMOS Nitro scooter (sadly, more fun to drive in the summertime than most cars - but being an organ donor isn't too fun) I put these on so that I'm more visible when riding the thing at night around town.
Just be sure to wire them the right way, you can't reverse the polarity. They pull such a small amount of voltage that you should be able to tap off of any other power source.
This red strip greatly improved the visibility of my tail light.
These look like crap during the day, but had self-adhesive strips on the back. I wired them to blink along with the factory turn signals.
Crappy cell phone pics, but you get the idea. They look amazing at night. I get tons of looks, but they could just be making fun of the dork riding the scooter
