Default Trigger lights via unlock switch?

Hi All,

I know it's a bit petty, but I'm getting tired of the look of my car. The front is just too bland for my taste. I'd like to get the 2012 myLED replacement headlamps or some after market replacement that's reminiscent of the stock LED strip that's in the newer models. My question is if I do, is there any way to trigger the lights from the unlock switch on my remote? I've seen it done in beamers before and I think it'd look cool to fire the lights up whenever I'm walking towards the car!

Edit: Or if I place my own led strip in the car, is there any way to wire it to something that responds with the unlock switch? Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance for the responses and the read!

The puddle lights on the side mirrors light up on unlock or when you walk close to the car with the key on you.

I was thinking about doing this too but I also want the LED strip to work as a DRL like OEM but im not good with wiring.

Thanks for the response! The puddle lights definitely do, but I wanted or was wondering rather if the headlights could. I know beemers (beamers??) currently can and I was wondering if it would be possible with the Lexus. Thanks!

You can use the puddle lights to trigger a relay in a relay harness for your headlights, but I don't know what the ramifications are if the headlights are on at the same time the relay harness is powered up.
